Before the horns and the crimson skin, he was a mortal soldier fighting alongside a trusted goliath brother-in-arms. That life ended on a blood-soaked battlefield. Mortally wounded and fading in a quiet forest, he was visited by a murder of ravens and a chilling voice. The mysterious entity recognized a latent, infernal darkness in his blood and offered a desperate bargain: a second chance at life, in exchange for his unwavering service.

A Crimson Rebirth

He awoke completely transformed. The human soldier was gone, replaced by a tiefling clutching a bloodied sickle. Desperate for answers about his newfound fiendish nature, he returned to his roots only to uncover a bitter truth: his family’s modest prosperity had been bought with a dark, demonic pact that cursed his bloodline long before his birth.

The Shadow Forged

Shattered by this devastating discovery, he abandoned his former name and his entire identity. Heksepest was born from the ashes of that betrayal. Leaving his home and his best friend behind, he chose to walk a much darker, solitary path, dedicating himself to hunting down the truth of his origins while honoring the ominous bargain that kept him breathing.

Today, Heksepest remains shrouded in mystery. Armed with an unearthly, beguiling charm, he navigates the world searching for the identity of the fiend who tainted his lineage. Guided by cryptic signs and the ever-present watch of ravens, he carries out the Raven Queen’s grand design. Now marching with The Chimera Company, he readies his sickle to face A Rising Storm, forever keeping a protective—but distant—eye on the past he can never return to.
